Our Story

From Passionate Hobby to Custom Engraving Craft

Custom Laser Designs & Engraving began as a hobby more than four years ago when Allen Cooper purchased his first laser machines, a 130W CO₂ laser and a 30W fibre laser, to engrave custom pens and wood turning projects he created in his spare time.

Over time, this passion grew into a specialised craft focused on creating unique and meaningful engraved pieces. Today, Allen focuses on producing custom work such as portrait engravings, pet memorials, mirrors with illuminated frames, and personalised gifts that capture memories and special moments.

One of the most unique creations involves turning a photo or image into a detailed engraving on a mirror, then building a custom frame with backlighting that brings the artwork to life when switched on.

Allen enjoys taking on projects that many people believe cannot be turned into artwork, transforming photos and ideas into beautiful engraved masterpieces.
